A Responce to Detail 2025 - Nao

My favorite project is Castle on the Cliff, designed by Hannah Winter. This building was oridinally known as Cargill's Castle, a landmark that once represented colonial influence and social status in Dunedin. Over time, the structure has shifted from being a private residence to a place intended for public gatherings and community events.

I liked how the project forcuses on restoring the building while giving it a new purpose. It shows that old structures can still play an active role in a city's cultual identity.

This made me think about my own hometown and how important it's to protect historic places and memories connected to them.
