A Response to Detail 2025 -- Machi Kanada

THE SOUTH COMMONS, designed by Misty Mosen, is a thoughtfully planned social housing development. To further enhance social cohesion across generations, the site also includes a kindergarten and assisted-living housing. The project aims to strengthen the local community by creating an inclusive environment that supports residents of all ages, backgrounds, and income levels. The integration of both private and communal spaces creates a balance between personal and shared living, reinforcing the idea of a truly neighbourly environment.

I chose this model because its open structure makes the space feel very comfortable to live in, and if I were to live somewhere in the future, I would want a house like this.
