A Response to Detail 2025 - Tamaki

 My favorite Project at Detail 2025 was”A New Chapter for Molyneux - Alexandra Recreation Centre”, designed by Li Xiaoke. It is a community  space where people from different backgrounds can meet, play sports, and join various activities.

I was attracted to this project because the design feels warm, bright, and calm, and it creates an inviting atmosphere for everyone. The building also fits naturally into its surroundings near the Central Otago Rail Trail. With several access points and open pathways, it encourages people to stop by, interact, and enjoy the area.

Overall, the project enhances the environment by connecting people and supporting a more livable, community-focused space.

  I agree to some extent with the result of my personality test, in which I was assessed as a steady and sympathetic. Machi Kanada - Supervisor

       My personality test result said I was a supervisor, and I think it's half accurate and half inaccurate. I do see myself as stable and practical, because when I work on something, I carefully follow the steps to make sure there are no mistakes. Also, I think it is important to follow rules properly, so I agree with the part that says I tend to get stressed when I see people not following them. However, I don't really like being a leader when working in a group, and I've never been told that I'm bossy, so I don't think that part of the result describes me. From this test result, I got the impression that supervisors are confident and like to take charge, but I don't really like that. I tend to think carefully before I speak, and I sometimes hesitate to express my opinions strongly.
